Hey guys, I was stripping my 1973 Road Runner's Buddy Seat today so I could reupholster it and was amazed to find wood pieces in it for the upper seat core. Is this stock, or someone's attempt to build whatever was in there originally? The bottom portion of the seat has a normal metal frame with seat springs. Thanks.

Every one that I have taken apart have had wood in them as well.

Okay, I'll presume it was stock then! Just with all the shortcuts the previous owner took, you never know what is correct or not with the obscure stuff.
