If I had the money to buy a 68 Charger project car and turn it into whatever I want.......it's this.

The replica plate is so accurate down to the reflective sticker that I often get asked if it's originally a Cali car.

Love the 3:22 spot, Yep thats a Mopar

I know it's a movie, but when the Mustang spun out after the motorcycle slide, that Charger was gone, and there was no catching it!

Visited San Fran a couple months ago and walked the streets where it was filmed. They are really steep.

It is a crime there is no shrine for all the hubcaps that were tossed around like dimes in their primes.

This last one is looking up Taylor where the Charger is coming down and making a hard left (right in the pic) onto Filbert. I looked for the lost hubcap, couldn't find it :)

The two Chargers should have had magnum 500 wheels on them and the hubcap debocal never would have happened. They didn't want the Charger to look better than the Mustang so flashy wheels were out of the question, but the sinister black Charger upstaged the Mustang anyway.

Totally Agree

I have one of those old hot rod car magazines that quote Steve McQueen saying the Charger had a Hemi in it. I’m pretty sure that has been discussed extensively and the conclusion being Mr. McQueen was mistaken. I certainly wouldn’t want to be the one to tell Mr. Badass he was wrong! :wetting::screwy:

Not the Bullitt 68 Charger R/T,but it is a 68 Charger R/T playing a 69 Charger R/T on the silver screen. This car met it's demise being filmed crashing into a train in the movie Dirty Mary Crazy Larry. The car was wired to explode upon impact with the train, but the explosives did not detonate,so another Charger,an actual 69 model non R/T car was used for the second take and exploded on que!
