Does anyone know how many 69 Super Bees were produced in Butterscotch?
I saw one for sale at MATS in Vegas two years ago. It was an A12 unrestored car.
But the guy selling it was one of those people who's only in it to flip cars and make money and he was asking waaay too much for it (I hate that). But the color contrast with the butterscotch paint and the flat black hood, black bumble stripe and black interior was very appealing. I'd sure like to find a 69 butterscotch SuperBee.

This is going from memory, cause I am away from my reference sources at the moment.
Butterscotch (bahama yellow, on a plymouth) was one of four new colors introduced on a12 cars around april, 69. Most of the a12s were one of those four colors (green, red, orange, butterscotch) with butter being the least popular of the four. Later on in the run, other colors became available. The color spreadsheet I've seen says roughly 10% of a12s, dodge and plymouth , were butterscotch.
If memory serves, bahama yellow was available on other plymouths, but butterscotch was only available on a12 dodges, at least until 71 model year. If that is correct, that explains the rarity of butterscotch superbees.

According to my source, 1412 rr a12, 1907 a12 superbees, so maybe 190-200 butterscotch bees?
      21% red, 16.5%hemi orange, 13.6% bright green.
Edit these percentages are from a chart even older than Big D's below, so his chart is more correct!

Butterscotch is the best! Looks good with white top, black top or no top. Pick your favorite.

I used to not like that color when it first came out. I even almost bought my first Road Runner (new) with that color but I opted for lime green metallic instead.
There was a whole lot full of various colored road runners at the dealer back then. You could pick pretty much any color you wanted. Hard to believe looking back 50 years.

            Wasn't EL5 a spring special mid-year color?

I still have one of those gold fridges from the 70's in the garage off to the left. It's under all the racing decals there somewhere.

There are no production records by color we know of yet. All we can do is take an educated guess statistically to determine "how many" we think. Credit to Dave Watt of the A12 Forum for this data. It is quite old, but will let you do some elementary math to get a hypothetical answer to your question. 276.

My former A12 Super Bee was Butterscotch, but fortunately the previous owner painted it sublime green. I never liked Butterscotch!

@Big D A12, I know other plymouths were available in bahama yellow (butterscotch) but we're other dodges available in butterscotch in 69, other than A12s?

Yep, my bad, i meant to specify 1969 dodges. I've seen later dodges in butterscotch too, just not very many.
When I go to the spring/fall flings I have a running bet with my best friend : will we see more butterscotch cars, or 70 340 challengers? Butterscotch always wins, haven't seen a real A66 challenger like hers in years. Usually two or less butterscotch.

Actually that could have been the same car I looked at in Phx back in June 1970. Do you know where it came from?
