Here check out this site.. I knew it was a clamp of a sort but.. Wood.. not sheet metal. These are not exact but very close to the style.

Thanks much! I had this among a bunch of other stuff from my dad's old workshop. My father-in-law started up a sawmill business back in the '80's buying an ancient closed mill that his son's took over specializing various hardwoods; but I know I didn't get it from him. I'll have to show it to my wood-expert brother-in-laws to see if they know what this is. Thanks again!
