I frickin' HATE snakes, but I do not kill them. Check out this pic I took last week of a Rattlesnake eating a rabbit just a few feet off my front porch. I know it is hard to tell what is going on, but the front end of the snake is stretched and just the tail and back legs of the rabbit are still outside the snake. It took the Rattler about an hour and 20 minutes the get a small rabbit all the way inside. The snake is about 3.5 ft long. Here is a link to a video I took:

Who care what kinda snake it, IT" a fuckin snake. Hate snakes.

snakes are there for a purpose , just think of all the rats /mice there would be if not for them . leave them alone and they'll leave you alone , that's coming from someone that lives in a country with 20 of 25 of the worlds most deadly snakes

I remember watching an episode of Steve Irwin and they were talking about invasive species (cane toad) and how many browns and tiger snakes had been lost to them and the result was a rat population boom. They were at a farm and could not take a step without stepping on them...me personally I like snakes and catch the at the farm all the time...but if it is poisionous I will remove it because of the kids

Totally agree Poly. Where I live there are packrats and they are a huge PITA even if you do NOT kill the snakes! We need all the help we can get, so I do not kill the snakes. I also have no burning desire to get up close and personal with them, and I especially HATE getting surprised by them. Therefore when I leave or enter my garage, the door goes up and right back down so nothing has time to slither in!

This video proves that all are not bad, it was taken near San Angelo a couple of years ago.Unfortunately sometime after this video was captured someone shot it in the head. It was over 7'....pretty sad, a 7' snake would scare the **** out of me but not more that the 3-4 ' DB its munching on...

Holy crap Mike, I am gonna have nightmares! I have to admit the Blue Indigo snake is beautiful, but Jesus, I am creeped out! I lived in San Angelo for 13 years and I am glad I never saw a Blue Indigo while I was there!
