The car is a '70 and I'm going to sell it. I'm missing a couple of lug nuts and I want to buy the right ones. I was at the ranch today where it is but my phone was dead. It has 5 big holes and 10 lug nut holes, I guess for another wheel pattern. The wheels are aluminum. This is the street/strip car that has the BBC. It scares me. If you notice the chrome grille that means it's a Lemans/Tempest, not a real GTO.
If it's your car Steve, why not post a better picture of the rims so they can be properly identified? Yes, 10 "holes" means it's bored for more than one lug pattern.
Rims look pretty cool. Is that a LeMans? I had one with a 350 and a 2 speed Powerglide. Didn't handle the beating too well, back in the early '80s.
Center Line made a wheel like that known as the "Champ 500". Enkei and other companies like American Racing made knock offs.
Those look like weld wheel Rodlite to me. (And they don't fit that gto for s#!t). That's cause they are.
You've got me stumped. And I'm into older aftermarket wheels. Looks like a generic rep of a Motor Wheel Fly or a Centerline Telstar. Probably mid 80s. But I'll do some more looking and see if I can find anything. Maybe Fenton?
Those wheels have the triangle shaped holes. They dont look like the Champ 500 wheels. They look more like weld drag stars more but still not the same. They almost look like a centerline Convo without the bolts all the way around.
I know in the photo the holes look like triangles. They are round. If I go out to the ranch as planned I'll get a good picture. I think they chose a post car for strength. The rear suspension is a little wonky. At some point, I think this car pulled at least one wheel off the ground. Wait until you see the back wheels. They are outrageous.
I think Big Chief's first car "The Crow" started life as a 1970 LeMans. The angle has the lugs interfering with the shape of the holes. Trust me they're round. We wondered if the car was a T37.
I thought the Champ 500s were the original. If the OP has the multi-lug style, they are probably a knock off from another company.
If it were me, I'd post a picture of one of the lug nuts that are on the wheels now, more relevant methinks.
