The throttle shaft is leaking gas past the shaft and onto the intake manifold. Even if i give the carb one pump, gas leaks out and puddles on the manifold. I can move the shaft,it has play in it. Im a little disappointed as i told the rebuilder it was worn and he said he would re-sleeve it and then he said it didn't need it. Has anyone had to re bush the throttle bores?

It's common to rebush the throttle shafts on old carburetors. I'd have a conversation with your rebuilder, especially if you asked him to do it...

Not uncommon to need bushings for the throttle shaft. The worst part is getting the blade screws out without breaking them.
