My elderbrock carburetor on my 74 dodge charger started leaking yesterday and i want to replace it with a new carb. What is the best carburetor for my dodge with a 360 5.9L it is relatively stock?
Also I am getting it painted black this summer. I was wondering where I could get some black or possible chrome wheels? Also what size would look the best and what are the best wheels for a good price? Any suggestions?

Where is the Elderbrock leaking from? If its a gasket, then get a new gasket and save your dough. More likely its the throttle shaft bushing, and I don't know if those can be repaired/replaced. Check Summit Racing for a carb, they sell Elderbrock, Edelbrock, Holley, and some other more expensive brands. I have one of thier "House Brand" 600 cfm units on a 360 and it works great. Stay away from racy stuff. Holley 4150s (manual choke and 2ndaries) are cool, but not the right carb for your stock-ish motor.

Wheels are a matter of personal choice and disposable income. I happen to like black steel wheels...which works out well cuz they're cheap and so am I.

If the shaft is leaking, I know some shops can drill them out and put a bushing in it.. Might be worth the time to do a little research and make a few calls.. Could end up saving you some money in the end..

It is manual choke carb and it is leaking where the choke area is, it is weird. It is near the fuel inlet part. The carb is messed up anyways so i am going to get a new one.

Piece Of **** Edelbrock Carbs Leak Everywhere! Edelbrock Needs To Stick With Making Intakes! Pay For A Good Set Of Rebuilt Original Carters Or Holley!

A set? How many carbs, Carter or otherwise, do ya think that 360 is sportin', Sport?
I've never had a leaky Edelbrock carb, that's why I don't know how to fix one. A leaking Holley? O yeah man, got plenty of experience with THAT.

When I was young I counted all the places the Holley would leak, I believe it was 24 locations. The Carter was only about 2-3. The Edelbrock carb was not around at THAT time. Rebuild or replace your current carb is what I would recommend. Holleys are great racing carbs, but must always keep the car running, never let it set more the 2 weeks or it might start leaking.
