Hi Gents,

I have a 318/904 setup in my Satellite. A previous owner installed a '77 model 4bbl OEM intake and a 625cfm Carter 9637 AFB.

I'd like to have a play with the tune. I was wondering whether anyone has trod this path before me, and whether they had used a particular Edelbrock Calibration Kit? If so, which one? Are they even suitable?

The old Carter 10-201 Strip Kits are thin on the ground, and expensive...but if I have to go that way I will.

Cheers,

Mr G.

You can use Eddy "performer" carb jets and rods.

Commentary: The new floats are different (smaller) as well as the setting and I'm thinking this might be a good thing since Eddy carbs are designed around the new fuel. I currently have the newer small floats in a pair of original hemi carbs set to 7/16" (the new setting) and seems to be OK. Original large float setting for those is 7/32". Fuel pressure is very important for proper mixture so make sure that (as well as float setting) are spot on before jetting. Still in R&D mode so not certain of this (check my signature below).
