Greetings, my Mopar owners……my Carter AVS Four Barrel carburetor is pretty much at the end of its life span…..I’m not saying that it can’t be repaired but it would require a lot of work…Now my casting date reads D9 4615SA….April 1969……now can I get by with a carburetor that may have for example A9, C9 etc….that would be accepted as one that may have gone on my car…..I have a numbers matching 383HP four speed car….just inquiring as if I need to find one exactly as mine or could possibly have a slight variation in numbers and or letters….I’ve looked at numerous carbs that came close but alway off a letter or number….I’d appreciate knowledge responses from you…..I’m really to the point that I’m going to put on a Edelbrock AVS 650 manual choke carb and stick mine in a box…..it’s really to the point that It’s not run right for decades and quite honestly I’m surprised it even starts….
