Has anyone ever purchased from theautometaldirect.com ? Not to be confused with the original AMD... This appears to be some kind of clearance outlet, if legit...??

I just ran across this evening as I'm looking for parts for my 68 Sport Satellite. It just seems too good to be true, Hoods for 95$ Fenders/Quarters 100$ Frame rails, tail panels 100$ ???

Anyway, just thought I'd throw this out there see if anybody knows anything. I'll be contacting them to feel things out.

My thoughts exactly! I can't find the fine print anywhere that says you're getting a picture of the (name your part here).... Not the actual part. Seems fishy

Looks waaaaaaaaaaaay to good to be true.
AMD is out of frame rails and 68-9 hoods. 900.00 fender for 100.00 shipped????
Be sure you use a credit card with protection.

1st and foremost, it fails the "too good to be true test." The address is bogus. No phone number given. No e-mail. No pictures anywhere other than stock AMD part images anyone could download. Domain name is a slight variation of a legit vendor. Nobody has ever heard of them. To me, everything about this screams SCAM.

Reminds me of the ads that used to pop up on facebook, advertising nice quality tools and tool boxes at pennies on the dollar prices. Nice ads with actual good pictures of the available items. Looked really legit. (All scammers just fishing for gullible victims...)

Whatever entity is hosting that ad should be made aware that it's bogus.
People that scam the hobby should be dealt with like horse thieves were in the 1800s.

Website created last November. Their "About Us" page is unintentionally hilarious.

The price and the fake address tells you everything.. Well designed scammer page though.
