Check out this Plymouth

That's interesting. The article shows a picture of it in red and mentions that it was originally gray.

Then this article is almost exactly word for word the same as the first one, except it says that the original gray was changed to black. http://www.forwardlook.net/forums/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=28133&start=1

The red pictures seem to be from 2006, while the black was taken in 2009.

Wasnt that on the junk pickers show?

Not my cup of tea, but it's Plymouth history. The best pictures were in black.

A lot of folks were golfers back then, and trunk space was a big selling feature. This was clearly made for the pole vaulters lol.

'48 ford truck hood?

There is NO WAY that this was designed and built by Plymouth Division. It is just too ugly, with no chance of any of its features being incorporated into future production. It looks to have been done by a back yard designer/mechanic. Maybe George Barris' half-brother.

That officially hurt my eyes!

Ugly but I would drive it. I still has a cool factor when you know the history.

That is one fugly *** Plymouth
& I love Plymouths, my brand of choice

funny how the article doesn't really mention the designer
or body/coachbuilder
(or my eyes were glossed over & didn't notice it)

like the others Plymouth concepts (same era) done by Pininfarina etc.

it said built on a 58 Fury chassis, 318 2x4bbl

it did mention org. displayed along with or by a "Redstone missile"
by Chrysler of that era

jet age or not, not an attractive look at all

those contemporary wheels & tires, the current restorer used
don't help any either
just doesn't fit the vibe at all
Why if it was org. grey, why not make it grey again ?
red is way overdone

the comments on that above link were brutal :D

Bad Chad Custom come to mind. :D

he had a vision. And brought it to life.

This was quite a feat no doubt and a lot of smarts to do it; but car customizing shouldn't be done when wearing night vision goggles...lol
