      Truly magnificent Greg!
Hopefully one day I will get to meet you and the wonderful #88 in the flesh, so to speak.
God bless you and your Supersonic Mopar!

Link to 2001 Dodge Motorsports story -

            https://www.allpar.com/racing/NASCAR/daytona-development.html

Has a pic of the 200 mph front clip as found in the woods, behind Don White's race shop in Iowa. Now restored and in primer. Every front end was hand made and unique, no two the same. It was VERY important to save it. I don't know of any other race Daytonas with the original front sheet metal.

The other side is posted on dodgecharger.com.
The wheel cutouts are different, side to side.

Fred Schrandt did one side, Larry Knowlton the other.
Those two Chrysler Race Mechanics did almost all of the work on the car
                  when it was at Chrysler.

Getting some color on the chassis.
Nailed the original "sheen" of the paint, 100%.
Looks exactly like it did when Nichels Engineering shot the paint.

Interior. Only car with square fuel line tube to hold data acquisition equipment for testing.
It also adds some strength to chassis.

Car was B-7 first, then painted Petty Blue the first week of September, 1969, prior to sitting on the pole for the first Talladega 500 race.
Ran 199.446 mph, setting another World Record, with Charlie Glotzbach driving.

Is that dent in the side door cage for clearance or previous crash damage??

Don White got in a wreck in 1971. Though it best to not fix it, being part of the history of the car.

                                    Laying down the tail stripes.
Chrysler Race Mechanic Fred Schrandt did one side, Larry Knowlton the other.

Fred and Larry would often take a side on the car for a task, so things were a little different, side to side. The trunk wing supports are different, fender modifications and even the aluminum plates covering the door handles are different.
