We are getting ready to put our house on the market (downsizing). We have oak hardwoods throughout the house. I put money into other things to prepare house but just don't have it in budget to do a sand and re-stain.

We have throw and larger carpets throughout but some areas that show look a bit rough. Is there any cleaning or detail solutions to give them a better look?

Any thoughts are appreciated.

Quick fix is to buff it or top off the poly finish(best result if oil based previously).....

if it has worn the stain away then there is only one fix.....

I would recomend either of the tow previous options. They shined up my floors really nicely. I would recommend a hand shine vs a mop.

Just move the carpets around! Try linseed oil? Just a guess but it works well on gun stocks.
