Hell, I'm still waiting on the "coming ice age" the lab coats were promising us in the '70s....
.
But yeah...it's probably the campfires.
Ever live in a place that has such severe air pollution that you can see it?Ever see smog?
Ever read about DDT?
Ever live where they tell you not to eat the local seafood cause of all the sewage in the water?
Ever read about a species we humans caused the extinction of?
These are effects dude...
If there's ONE thing in life you should have confidence in is the ability of humans to **** stuff up...
We don't need thermometer readings from the past when we have other records. For instance, places in Europe that used to cultivate vineyards and olives but it's presently too cold for them to thrive there. When one considers that accurate measuring equipment only existed for about the last century or so, it's really
not fair to extrapolate what the history of such a thing as "climate" was for thousands of years prior, is it?
Yup and the earth aint going nowhere We are. Wonder what George would say about our sad state of affairs now??To paraphrase the late George Carlin,
"The earth is going to shake us off like a bad case of fleas."
I would have to agree with the OP, kinda. Since the creation of earth it has been in a constant state of evolution and change. The plates in the earth's crust are moving all the time. Man will never be able to keep earth "as it is". We should all do our part to keep it clean, who wants to fish in dirty streams or hunt in trash filled fields. Earth is a living thing like all things that are alive it ages, changes, and evolves to something different. It won't be here forever it will have its own end of life. So yes more evidence of climate change is coming. It happens daily and has for billions of years.
Obviously it's the topic of man made accelerated rising global temperatures. That is the topic of the 21st century when discussing "Climate change." And we are just witnessing the beginnings. What science, I believe is hiding? We are already past the point of no return. Meaning, we are going to lose the ice caps by end of this century. No matter how much CO reduction occurs. And that's actually the least of man's problems. We may need to evoke mediation efforts. And the obvious is solar deflection. (I'm guessing near the poles? But may not necessarily be the most effective.) We really only need to deflect a fraction of 1% as temporary measures to give the climate a chance to catch up with any greenhouse gas emissions reduction. These types of threads always go the same way, someone posts about climate change obviously referring to the rising temps, then when challenged resort to talking about pollution. Climate change and pollution are separate issues which some would like you to believe that one (pollution) affects the other (climate change).
The main thing I like about these threads is that they clearly identify people for whom I can put on my ignore list.![]()
Farmers almanac says it will be this winter.. Al Gore will finally be correct..Hell, I'm still waiting on the "coming ice age" the lab coats were promising us in the '70s....
The OP obviously has some sort of "agenda" to start this topic off as he did.
Like he always does?
