Climate change?

If the world has to come to an end from climate change I sure hope it happens soon then I won't have to worry about spending so much money on restoring some of my up coming projects...

Funny how all those preaching man made climate change are making millions off it (none of them are speaking for free, write books, etc.).

Is the climate changing? Yes
Is mankind responsible? No
Can it be reversed? No
Is it the end to the earth? No
Is it the end to mankind? No
Are a lot of people going to make a lot of money off it? ABSOLUTELY!! all the while living in very expensive housing flying in private jets. They all say "follow the science".... funny how and scientist that even questions the party line is run out (yes there are scientists who disagree with much of this BS but are labeled "crackpots" and subdued).

Here's the bottom line; regardless of what you believe the earth's climate is changing as it has done since it became the earth. There is nothing anyone can do to change that but man kind can make the earth a cleaner place to live but given that no one other than western nations give a crap it is unlikely to change any time soon.

You got to love the "Hidden agenda" and "Media fed" answers. With no evidence of such. When the science of this narrative has overwhelming evidence. NOAA, NASA, US astrological Society, US Geological Survey. Just to name a few. The opposition? "Bob's Blog."

Man, I don't know who to believe?

We are already past the point of no return.
No, we are NOT.

The earth has been SIGNIFICANTLY WARMER in the past, than it is now.

What part of that does not compute??

The earth has been MUCH WARMER...and...guess what? It didn't self-destruct! Just like it won't self-destruct NOW, when it's not-as-warm-as-its-been-before.

Meaning, we are going to lose the ice caps by end of this century.
So what? It's happened before, obviously, since the earth has been much warmer before. And, obviously (since it's still here)...it isn't the proverbial end of the world.

And the obvious is solar deflection. (I'm guessing near the poles? But may not necessarily be the most effective.) We really only need to deflect a fraction of 1% as temporary measures to give the climate a chance to catch up with any greenhouse gas emissions reduction.
Yes...let's mess with a system that has self-regulated itself (successfully) for BILLIONS of years so far.

What could go wrong with THAT??

Arrogance, plain and simple. WE do not know best. THE PLANET DOES. Look at history. If it gets too hot...volcanoes will erupt and cool the earth through dust and ash cover. Look at history. That's how it happens. Hard facts from history prove that. A far better track record than humankind's 0-41 record for the "climate change" / "global warming" / "global cooling" / "little ice age" crowd....

Oh boy, here we go......I can't believe people still fall for this ****.

Still need more evidence?

Don't worry. It's coming.

Below is a list of hurricanes that have hit Louisiana dating back mostly to the mid-1800's. There is one noted in 1527 and for sure, there were dozens more between 1527 & the 1850's, it's just no one was making records of them all.

Can you say with absolute certainty that hurricane intensity and frequencies are worse now today because of so-called climate change, or are they worse because there is more stuff for hurricanes to knock down today than there was 175-300 years ago?

How do you know that it wasnt doing the same thing 10 thousnad years ago? Were there any paranoid prehistoric record keepers?
You have hurricanes almost every year, just like heat waves, cold blast etc etc...
You ought to be worried about other things that will affext you long term...

No, we are NOT.

The earth has been SIGNIFICANTLY WARMER in the past, than it is now.

That is a legitimate concern. And who would regulate? There are atmospheric as well orbital treaties that forbids a nation to act alone. For obvious reasons.

As far as higher temps in the past? Yes. There has been. And there has been ice ages as well. But again, those natural changes occurred over thousands of years. What is measured today? Is far faster change that has ever been recorded. (At least as far back science is comfortable with its findings.) Ice core, oceanic mud cores, geo core samples. Hell even tree rings are all saying the same thing.

I'm stunned by the layman's here throwing out volcano and other stats as if the science of climate change would not have taken into account?

The debate is really so lopsided its comical. The only real debate is. "What do we do abouts it?"

Here's the deal/
If you live on the E Coast or Gulf, you will suffer thru hurricanes.
If you get caught in a flash flood, you can very well drown. No do not drive thru running water, turn around. If our home is in a flood zone, not good.
If you live on the W. Coast where wildfires are EVERY year, sooner or later you/your property will be at risk. If you have timber right near that home, that is NOT good. As is tall grass, brush.
You choose to live there, or on on the beach or in a flood plain???
Dust Bowl days????? Hummmmmm who claimed climate change back then!???

The OP obviously has some sort of "agenda" to start this topic off as he did.

well, the "adults back in charge" narrative sure took a dump in the past couple months..... I suppose he has moved on

If we are all laymen here, please inform us what your expertise is.
My expertise in IT. Information. I have forwarded many times links to the science foundations that have studied, made sample analysis and published conclusions. It's the science denying crowd that has offered no counter data that would even remotely dispute? This crowd has had decades of opportunity. Koch Bros did sponsor their own study. With the narrative to disprove. The chief scientist Richard Muller of this study is saying climate change is real. Even after years of supporting disinformation campaigns by that same Koch Brothers institution.

If this an actual debate? It's turtle race.

Climate change IS real.

It is also NATURAL.

And, it is caused BY THE PLANET, and the sun, not by mankind. Archaeological evidencve proves this. Tree rings prove this. Ice cores prove this.

"How fast" doesn't mean dick. We STILL haven't hit the high temperatures the planet was at, around 1300AD, or 1100BC. And, far as I can tell...there was no internal combustion engines, or coal factories, or any of our other stuff, at either of those timeframes.

0-41 for the climate change crowd....I guess that being "proven science" is using the same math where a 99.7% recovery rate is "bad" and "dangerous to mankind".

Call me when you get one right (for a change).

Fingernails dragging across the chalkboard continues...for those that remember chalkboards...unless we want to get into what triggers one's gag reflex for some comparison.

"What do we do abouts it?"
There is not a damn thing we can do as I have already stated here. Simply, MOTHER NATURE IS IN CHARGE!!! PERIOD!!! What part of that do you not comprehend??? Asking for a Friend...cr8crshr/Bill:usflag::usflag::usflag:

Lemme get this straight; you looked online for a bunch of scientist’s opinions on this subject and you agree with them, so in your mind it must be real. Got it.
