Hello all,
I am shopping for an aluminum radiator for my big block '68 Coronet. I want a 26" radiator and do not care about original appearance. The radiator needs to handle a ~550hp engine for street use.
I've heard good things about Cold Case, but have a key question. My understanding is that the radiator inlet/outlet sizes are 1.5" and 1.75". Note I don't have a radiator at present, but I have new hoses that also measure these dimensions. I've called Cold Case and they confirmed that their units are made with 1.5" and 1.625" inlet/outlets. They claim these are the stock sizes. I've consulted with other vendors and they stick by 1.5" and 1.75".
So who's right? I can't believe that Cold Case would be supplying radiators that don't fit...but I can't find any lower hoses that measure 1.625".
Please advise - what is the stock lower radiator hose size?
Thanks!
