mid Jan

Sonora Winter 2022 late Jan Feb storm 001.JPG

50* f here mostly sunny clear skies, cool breeze
more typical for this time of year

a couple days ago it was 70*s,
next day after that, it was like high 20*s cold *** north breeze
snow slurries, clouded up & warmed up a bit, then snow (below)

a lot better than earlier this year 60+ days of rain/snow
from Nov-Jan, not record levels, but bad enough
60+ inches (for a whole year here 41" is average) of precipitation here,
some snow, a few 2' days (feet) here & there
but mostly mainly torential constant rain, 1"-2"+ a day in some cases
pouring like a cow pissing on a flat rock

it's sort of back to normal, just off & on occasionally now
many lakes & reservoirs up here are up some 45'+ to 100'+ plus in levels

this weather is crap, too warm for even good dog walking! I usually look forward to cold enough temps I don't have to clean his feet! I've never been a 4 wheeler guy but it looks like I'd get a lot more use than the sled! $3000 maintenance/lic/trail pass/ins. for 100miles riding!
still 12" ice in the bay, hopefully temps go back down next week so the princess margaret pond hockey is decent and the sled races can run the next week!

won't be parking any rigs out on the ice this time

I like my Oklahoma winters, cold for a couple days then back up into the 60's.
