CONSOLE AUTO SHIFTER wtb

I would like to locate a Console automatic shift lever and knob for my 69. I think 1966 through 1970 will work. I just need the lever and knob w/spring with nice chrome. Mine works OK, just looks bad.

keep your eye in ebay. i just checked on there for you and didnt find anything. i usually come across those alot. do you want the wood grain fake knob or the chrome one? i know you said 68-70 would work. ill keep my eye out too since im one ebay daily!

I have some left overs from the parts that came with our '67 Charger that I'm looking to clear out of the garage. I'll take some pics tomorrow of the knob, button, spring, and lever I have available.

May I assume the "lever only" notation means none of the bracketry stuff the lever assembles to, ie just the lever (with cable?)?

If you send me your e-mail address I'll send an exploded view to ensure we're talking the same things, and then the pics as well.

Just a tid bit of info if you were looking to be period correct..

That's interesting, I have a 69 and it has the original chrome knob, BUT... It is a very early build....OCT 07 68 which may account for that.

Yes, you assume correctly. I really only need the knob, spring and lever. My cable is fine although I suppose it would not hurt to have an backup.

I appreciate your help. I checked through eBay myself without much luck. Found everything else one might need for a console..... just no knob & lever.
I need the chrome knob. I understand the 69-70's used the wood knob but my 69 has the chrome. Likely because it is a very early build.

My 69' was built in January and it had a Woodgrain knob..You could be very well be right on yours, being it's such an early build. Frankly, I think the woodgrains are ugly and am tossing the chrome one on mine anyways..LOL
