Hello, hope this finds all safe and well. I just purchased a new floor console for my 69 Super bee because someone, really not me, overtightened the bolts and stripped the treads in the plastic. Also, I bought a new console lid lock latch and I can't figure out to install it, as is. Do it need to be ground down? Does anyone know what type and size bolts/screws are used to secure to top plate latch to the console bucket? I don't want to ruin a new console. The 1/4" bolts that appear to fit the bucket holes does not go thru the latch. Does it too have to be modified. Any help will be dearly appreciated.

Pictures might help here of what pieces you have. The catch is just held on by 2 small sheet metal style screws iirc.
