What is the best method for removing lower control arm pivot shafts ? THANX!

Use a press!

Yeah. Go down to Northern Tool and buy the biggest one you can afford. Stand up variety, not bench/tabletop.

The better question is are replacing the lower control arm bushing? If that is the case. Then with the LCA out of the car use a heat gun to soften/melt the rubber lower control arm bushing. At that point you will then be able to pry or pull the pivot shaft out of the bushing. Now when this happens the inner sleeves will come out with the pivot shaft. So you will need to cut that off the shaft if re-using your original pivot shafts. With the shaft out then dig out the rest of the rubber bushing from the control arm. Then you will need to remove the old lower control arms bushings outer shell. That can be done with a chisel folding the shell inward and removing with vise grips. Then for re installation you will need a press to install the bushing and pivot shaft. If you do not have one then take it to your local machine shop.
