I have read a bunch of articles on what is the correct power steering fluid is for the car. The book calls for correct power steering fluid #2084329. So what should i use?

I've been using parts store power steering fluid for a long, long time.
No issues, it's really just hydraulic fluid.
I did have a slight leak in my 2000 300M and I started adding the stuff with seal conditioners to help stop the leak.
It actually worked which surprised me so you might want to consider using that stuff.
You might want to get a gallon and remove the return line and flush it out with just regular stuff.
Then use the brand of your choice.

We always used Dextron ATF, most folks like that Lucas power steering fluid with seal conditioner but I bet the guys to really as are the ones that sell the Real Feel steering boxes... They seemed on top of things..
