So while I continued to sand my life away on the body my pop in law and a friend started building an engine cradle so that we can drop the car down onto the assembled drive train
I have a spare 400 block that we used to mock up.
A few issues came up, the Borgenson box did not sit flat onto the QA1 k member mounts nor did the motor mounts. Also the motor mounts are about 3/16 wider than the k member mounts...they also seem to touch the block...
Does anyone recognize these mounts??? Do I just shim the box and drill out the motor mount ( the k member is sleeved for the thru bolt). See pics.

Other than seeing the insulator (rubber) not sitting completely down on the QA1 perch, I don’t anything wrong. What rubber insulators are you using?

Got any better pics of the box?
On my Dart I noticed that the box didn’t sit as it should, but my oem manual box did/does. So it has to be the box.

Im not sure what make they are to tell you the truth, I dont even remember getting them....the rubber does touch, but it also looks like the piece that mounts to the block does too.
The box sits flush on the inner most mount but the single support does not.
I thought I took more pics but dont seem to have them...Ill try to get more
1st is the outboard support arm of the box. 2nd is the mount, may need to zoom to see it.

I would grind down the rubber so you’ve got some space between it and the block.

Use a body panel shim to take up space on the box. They come “u” shaped so you just need to loosen the bolt to slide it in.

I found that different rubber mounts are not properly drilled for the thru bolt, may have to remove captive nut and fit them to the k member and reweld the nut. Had to egg shape hole. Compare your old to the new.

Heres some pics of the stand, it looks like its just the rubber hitting the block. I will have to grind the stud that attaches to the block mount...too close for my liking. Is the mount with the locating pin supposed to sit flat on the k member mounts or id it ok to be up 1/4"?
Also in the pics is how the ps box sits off the stand, Im afraid to crank down on it and crack the housing....
