ya'll may think I'm crazy but the other car I was considering was a 70 Coronet that had LOTS of BEE potential ..... THIS would be one hell of a donor. I still may do it as a flipper!

Dang right I'd strip this puppy in a heart beat to save a decent 2 door Bee...tential car!!!

Thanks for posting the CL ad in the general forum

Also that's a nice car

I'm looking at all the hardware on that car....my gosh a bit pricey but DANG ...you could do a parts swap in your garage and have a REALLY nice car...of course pending what your 2 door is as a starter. NOT going to find that high quality part and Classic or anybody!!!!!

amazing that not all that long ago I bought 3 of them 4 doors, for less than 800 bucks a piece

Gen III hemi under the hood would make an awesome sleeper. Or buy it,strip it and bag it. Lotsa good parts and patches there.

$4K is steep, maybe $3K and its worth it.. I bought a SUPER clean 4 door 70' just like that, but blue with blue interior. I swapped a bunch of the good parts that were on it for some less than good ones I had, it wouldn't run, but I got it home and found the exhaust was thin and crushed for some reason (maybe tow truck) so I fixed that and it ran perfect. I sold it with no grilles, no valance, some rusty bumpers that I sanded and painted black (it had PERFECT BUMPERS on it, I kept for my car), kept a bunch of other stuff too, dash pad and parts, some trim parts, etc..
I bought the car for $1900, took everything I wanted and sold it for $2200 running and driving (put on c-lst for $2500obo, sold it in 4 days), the kid is still driving it around town, he changed the exhaust for some loud cherry pipes or something (the exhaust on it was **** and probably fell off)...

Not sure why the 4 doors survived so rust free, I wish that guy bought a hemi R/T and kept it that nice, lol...

well.... the hunter in me just cant be satisfied. I FOUND the 70 2 door !! its still available...dang. what to do ...what to do!!!:blob1:

Exercise caution.
At that price, I don't know if you would get enough off of it.
On a four door the fenders and glass should be different.
And I'm thinking the seats are different.
So if the Bee question has seats already, the money could be spent on Legendary.
Shame to cut it up. Looks too nice.
So some interior stuff and bumpers stuff might work.
Rear end? Disk?

we stripped one of those last year,a b5 blue one no less.
that car was loaded w great b5 interior too....quite the combo.
we gutted that car, dash and all and then cut the floors out too.
gave the skeleton to another mopar guy to resto his bee.

( i wondered if the seats were the same as bee,
ty for replying Onlyone )
the bumpers are everywhere on ebay but the grilles are worth a couple of bucks.
the tailight section panel is different too.
theres very few of the mopars i think are plain downright ugly as 4 doors,
but the darts and these coronets are.
sorry,jmo,they just never looked......right.

I could never see the point of parting out a four-door to use parts from that for a coupe, hardtop, or ragtop. All that swaps out is everything from the cowl forward, plus the dash assembly, rear axle and springs, d/shaft, trunk lid, and rear bumper and trim/taillights. And of course, all of the fasteners. So you'd have a car with four perfect doors, 80% of the interior and trim, both seats, roof, rear quarters, and floors. Why?

I think this is far too good to sacrifice. This is a perfect, economical daily driver that'll pull 22 mpg all day long. Four grand is a pretty damn good price for a car this clean. I wish I had some cash laying around...I'd buy it and DRIVE it!

Hmmmm so no swap out from a 4 door to a 2 door? wow I would have never dreamed of that. Well there goes that idea.

Have to Agree with Pat. From what i can see in the pictures that car looks really nice and solid. Two owners from the same family, nice history. I only wonder why not just get it running and then sell it

I would love to have that around just to drive for fun. It isn't all about two door Muscle cars.

Well unlike you guys I DONT LIKE 4 door classics! Parting out that car would be no problem to me. To me why waste a 440 or a nice 383 on a 4 door. Funny I never see them at many car shows and certainly dont draw attention at a race track.

So somebody help me with how to understand the fact that fenders off a 4 door will not fit on a two door? bumpers hood etc. Seems Chevy interacts with 2 and 4 door models but not Mopar??? If you look at Ford...like a Galaxie or other model...all the hardware with exception of cage/cockpit of the car exchanges. Mopar doesnt wow!!!! Really seems the engineers cost the company a lot of money designing one off products!!!! Mopar history, this is knowledge I've never had the pleasure of learning before!

everything from the cowl forward is exactly the same. everything in the rear is the same minus the decklid. the glass is also different. the only thing inside is the dash and the front seat. the rest is different. everything mechanical is the same.

yes indeed it is a nice car. A nice 4 door DONOR car to save a great 2 door. As one person stated what a shame to part it out. Even running to me its worth 1500.00. Can it be bought cheap I dont know YET!

My attitude on 4 door cars is that I do appreciate the cars condition and authenticity however that car is worthless on the market. Just because we are MOPAR lovers does NOT make it special or valuable.

at the right price that car is a DONOr!!!

OH and at 4000 he cant afford a 32.00 fuel pump....That's all that is wrong a 32.00 FUEL PUMP and 20 minutes.... Makes me curious what kind of idiot he thinks buyers are?

There are plenty of four-door cars out there that are NOT this nice that are perfect DONOR cars. This, to me and MANY others, is a straight DRIVER that is NOT a DONOR car. Like I said, if I had the $$, it would be in my driveway this evening.

The quarters are unique to the four-door and do NOT interchange. As I said way up top, the entire front clip interchanges across four-door, two-door, wagon and ragtop. Trunk lids swap out, too.

quarters wont swap:eusa_whistle:....I WONDER WHY!!! ....... LOL!

I can understand that all of us dont have the love for 4 doors that MANY of you have....yeah with a 4 door I see a value... of great parts. But I DO have to ask where are all these GREAT parts cars with cheap prices....because the 2 door in question was number 1 on my list and you can ask my wife I was on parts searches EVERY NIGHT looking at EVERY state and a LOT of cities...didnt find anything. I did my research to ensure I could get parts. So when my 68 came along it needed nothing and i bought it instead of the 70. The 2 door is too nice to not buy it.

So i would put that 4 door beside the 2 door and let the parts swap begin. I did that with my 65 Malibu and the little 4 door had PERFECT parts....yep i parted that baby OUT! and saved an SS!!! proud of it too!6-17-2007-1.jpg
