I hope to do that one time before I check out!!! You guys have fun and take lotsa pictures!!!!!!!!!!!
My wife and I are regulars!! Dennis from this forum shipped his car to my house from Cali and his wife and he are flying in to enjoy a week of Cruisin the gorgeous Mississippi Gulf Coast beaches, along with over EIGHT THOUSAND other registered cars! They're going to cruise back to Cali, hitting some cool spots along the way. We get cars from overseas that come to CtC! THAT'S impressive! I'm starting to get excited. I got my annual CtC purple Mohawk, to match the Roadrunner's head feathers.... It's going to be GREAT!
Will drugs and strippers be provided ?
Some of my MUST attend events at CtC: Wednesday night drag races. 1320, I think it's $20 or so to race. Straight time trials then bracket racing. Thursday from around 9am to 3pm in Long Beach it's Mopars at the Marina! Here's some pictures from last year M@M My baby...
I'm sure if you sought them out...or just ask a "local guy"
A week from tomorrow (Saturday) is the grand finale, the biggest day... There are 5 main venues, but the ENTIRE coast will be loaded with classic cars! All kinds of events, everywhere! Here's a couple of pix from last year, from the venue we go to that day:
Dennis and his wife Linda came to my house to pick up their really nice 69 Coronet R/T. 440, Edelbrock port injected EFI. Fired up immediately! Sounds great. We are going to have a BLAST, along with 8,000 plus other people!
Different conditions here. Gas $2 a gallon less, parking lots have spaces available. ‘
OH SHIT!!! They have drag racin? I would HAVE to bring my brick!!
I beat the SRT Jeep 3-0
Man, I loved this show. I got to go to it by pure luck, I didn't even know it existed but I was sent to Keesler AFB for some training in October of 2016. As the week progressed I started noticing a lot of old cars up and down the streets, I asked my instructor what was going on and she told me. It was awesome seeing all those cars just running up and down the street, made me really miss my Roadrunner.
I've been going since it was "a thing". Realized back in 2006 that it was a whole week, and went 2 days. ALWAYS go the 2nd Saturday, the BIGGEST day. I don't think there is a single venue that holds as many cars as the event we did today-Biloxi block party. Hundreds upon hundreds of cars! And Courtney Hansen
How fast are the "king" cars??
A new Mustang twin turbo "promod" ran a 4.2 in the 1/8th on his first run tonight. Everyone posts their time on their car and get the offset at the tree, so there is a relatively level playing field. Here's a couple of pix from Gulfport Dragway tonight. Not much classic iron, especially in the Mopar variety.
Mopars at the Marina is finally HERE! I still have to get to LONG BEACH MARINA, but I'll post pix later!
I've taken so MANY pictures at Mopars at the Marina, I'm only going to post a few until I can get on WiFi. IMPORTANT! Next year, because the city of Long Beach politicians are FOOLS who have decided that they don't want the thousands of dollars and hundreds of people Mopars have brought them year after year, MOPARS IN THE BAY, BAY ST. LOUIS, MS is the venue for next year's 2020 Thursday Mopar event! It will be better than EVER, with live entertainment and a dedicated area for MOPARS!
Dennis and I... Dennis, my best friend Harry, and I, by Dennis's nice 69 Coronet R/T! 69...HEMI...ROADRUNNER...4 SPEED 67 R/T...HEMI...4 SPEED (old school badass!)
Are you EXtra large or they EXtra small?
I've heard that..just about my whole life. 6'3" so I'm on the big end of the scale, but I can still find some things to wear without ordering them. Lol. More pix! Real A-12, the original 440+6, which being a BIG FAN and owner of a V-code Roadrunner, I am always to the engineers and others at Chrysler who gave the 440+6bbl the go ahead! Another 440+6, may not be an original A-12, but it's beautiful!
