I,ve got a 4 door missing a front clip that is rust free and want to cut the body panels off the car to save in case of accident or for a future resto. where should i cut at to be the most useful? would like to save the trunk pan and rear flanks? and tailight panel and floor pans. Looking for a carving chart or info. lol Ive got a sawzall and a cutting torch. thanks

Sawzall is the best choice of the two for trimmimg, It depends how much you want to save as far as cutting it apart goes...Is the trunk floor the same for the sedan as the hardtop? If you want to save the rear clip you should trim it mid point thru the sail panel and the rockerpanel in the middle of the rear door opening and then across the floor. If its only certain components like the trunk floor, trim on the outside of the pinchweld flanges to save the whole component. BTW remove the gas tank first!
