I have a Dana 60 rear end that I have coded to be 68-69 B body. Attached are pictures of the numbers on the carrier and the gears that are in the rear end now. They seem to be original gears but the coding seems to be 4.88. Didn’t know if they had that as an option and 68-69. Any help will be appreciated.

Somebody changed gears. Factory didn't use a spacer, they changed sure-grip housing.

Agreed: The gears came from over the counter or possibly a six cylinder, one ton truck. They didn't come factory in a B-body.

Yes I would say likely a 70 truck , the date stamps are very close on gear and suregrip.

Could have been a dealer install. That would account for the similar dates. (Tho I doubt a dealer would use a spacer. More likely the proper carrier.)
