Dana 60 value??

I have a chance to buy a Dana 60 from a 1970 B-body. Internals are all rebuilt with 3.54 gears. Comes complete with brakes. Just needs to be painted. The guy wants $2000. delivered. I don't need it now but may in the future. I don't want to tie up the money if I can't get it back if I wanted to sell. What is the going rate for these things?

Thats the mid price around here and there isnt too many around- high end complete ive seen them sell for 3.5k

Reasonable price IMO, with brakes, axles and rebuilt gears - and presumably a differental?

That is a good price, I had a chance to buy one last year in NE for $1500 complete and had to drive to get it. I didn't need it but it would have been nice to have!
