Demo Derby win streak comes to an end for my son

My youngest son picked up where he left off 2 years ago at the Hemlock "Little World's" Fair.

In 2019 he won 3 in a row winning $2,400.
This year he ran a Toyota built in a weeks time.
He confidently proclaimed he would win last Tuesday and win he did walking away with a trophy for the mid-sized heat and combined feature to the tune of $1,350.
Saturday's heat went pretty well but something happened to the fuel mixture making it go lean. Then we lost the ground on the fuel pump finishing 3rd.
But up til then it was 5 wins in a row.

I'll bet he gets it running right (MAP sensor or something) when it first fires it's fine then after 2-3 seconds it gets really lean.
If he gets it fixed it will likely go to the Wayne County fair or Trumansburg.

I've never done a demo derby, but I used to do a lot of "field bombing" in an 88 Diplomat cop car that I had, which I also used as a daily driver too. I remember laughing the whole time I was beatin' the HELL out of that car, & it kept on going. I can only imagine a demo derby. Must be loads of fun.
