Sprinkled a little powdered detergent into my left hand, turned on the water valve with my right, and brought both hands into the small stream of water to wash up the grime after renewing some drum brakes.

Then an extreme, sharp pain shot through the ring finger of my left hand. I surprised that honey bee that has been drinking from the dripping faucet the past couple of days! Brushed him or her off along with the stinger sac and the pain began to subside and has not come back yet.

In the past, I have experienced throbbing pain up to 24 hours after the sting (like the time a bee was hiding in my running shoes and stung my toe).
