I see AMD offers two different hoods for what is apparently early and late 1968 hoods for RR and 'X's

they talk about a different dimension between something like the hood latch or some other mounting point? Can anyone clarify,

thanks
Brian

Yes they changed the strike bar that goes into the latch. About a 1/4" difference in the bolt spacing for the strike to hood. Pretty sure early has rounded ends and later 68-up have square ends.
One of those "why the hell did they do that" things.

So still not fully understanding, So the strike bolts to the hood and the hole spacing on the hood is different I'm presuming. What about the latch / radiator support and latch? Are they the same? So it is simply a matter of matching the right striker to the right hood?

Correct on the strike bolts.
I believe the latches and supports are the same but not 100% sure. I have the tried the strikes on the hood. I'll did out the different strikes and get a pic. Thought I had one but can't find it.
