Different 8 3/4 axle cases

Hello! How do i tell the difference between the house/cases that the 8 3/4 axle has?

I have a 64 Polara but i know the axle is from a newer car.

Read the casting number on the side. Much info here, or get a Mopar Performance or Direct Connection manual.
