Was it just the 69 single bolt type that was low taper or all 69-71s?

I thought that the lifters have a 2ft DIAMETER SPHERICAL RADIUS (looks flat be can be checked with optical comparator) AND the cam lobe has a 0.001" - 0.0015" taper across the lobe face. This combination causes the lifters to spin (to equalize wear) as they move up/down. Just talking out loud.....

I think the taper was a little different on the 6 pack cams.

It appears to me that the lower taper creates a wider contact at the lobe/lifter interface to make rotation stronger or more posetive. sorry if im being captain obvious here.
if the low taper does in fact make lifter rotation better......then we must wonder why everybody hasnt been making them that way all along;especially in light of all the cam/lifter failures happening these days???
