Does it count as a barn find if you rescue your own car?

Here she is, after 19 years in hibernation! She's getting trailered home tomorrow due to the 20 plus year old tires and less than perfect brakes (all new, but need to be vacuum bled) and the 65 mile trip home. But she runs great, drives great (new steering gear). But it is pretty much just as I got her 26 years ago.

Thats cool! And she looks ready to go... Enjoy!!

Nice car, enjoy ! best wishes on getting back on the road again

bet you had butterflies in your gut when you brought her into the sunshine.

Nice!!! Congrats on getting it out of the "barn"!!! Love the stance looks clean!

It sat in a small 22x30 wood frame and tin shop since 1992 under a car cover. It was protected from the direct elements but not from rats, mice and good old Texas gulf coast humidity. She's got some rough spots. Since April of this year its gotten a new fuel tank, radiator, steering box, tranny mount and complete brake system replacement. Oh, and a new Slap Stick. The engine fires right up with no complaints. It's amazing to me as I thought the car was a goner. But a good friend of mine basically inspired and encouraged me to tackle the challenge. I'm glad I did. I now have a nice old Mopar to enjoy again.

Nice looking color-wish we all had those kind of cars sitting around that just needed to be freshened up- damn

Nice! But why did it sit for so long and what part of the Gulf Coast are you? I'm 9 miles from Galveston Bay and know all too well about the humidity here!

Nice! I see a sunroof, is it factory?

Nah...it's aftermarket. It was on the car when I bought it. I don't care for it but there is not much I can do about.

Just life happened Cranky. Wife, kids, work. Then I thought I lost my skill and ability to make the necessary repairs. But my friend Kenny encouraged me and now it's at least a driver again. I live in the Alvin area, if you're familiar with with greater Houston.

She's just been back to driver status. There's still a lot of work that you can't see. There are a lot of dents that you can't see in the pics. But it drives and that will be good enough for the time being. Not sure what the color is but I hope we can duplicate it!
