1969 Roadrunner with factory A/C. Shouldn't that be on the fender tag??I decoded and the A/C or P/S aren't listed. The tag is obviously not blue either.....repop?? fake?? How can I tell??

The car is/was advertised as having the Broadcast Sheet.

The seller doesn't have the best pictures on his website (using my cellphone). That being said, I don't like the looks of the dash VIN plate and attaching rivets.

H51 is AC. Power steering normally is not on tags.
Maybe so, but the tag condition and Assembly Line punch marks look legit to me.

Raises fewer suspicions than many others I have seen.

Not trying to pick a fight here...but that might just be age and dirt built up around the rivets.....look like rosettes to me. Very roundish rosettes.... Overall condition and transfer look normal.

God we are a bunch of old F@ckers debating rivets and punch marks. Get out and do a tire scorching burn out in these machines once in a while.
Good for the soul.

That tag looks good to me, but I am not an expert. @69Coronetrt could tell you for certain.

Well said. When I was 14 in 1978, I remember quite a few muscle cars that were on their 2nd engine. A lot of guys cars were daily drivers, and an engine was built to drop in on the weekend. Of course none of those cars are as “good” now. They were the ones that made the scene, and left an impression on me.

I bought my first GTX in 1977, when I was 23. I'd already been working long enough to become seriously frugal. I spent a year looking for a car that had been adult owned and not beat up. I was driving a tractor trailer over the road, and didn't have time to be messing with fixing things when I was home.

That car served me well as a daily driver for four years. I only spun the tires one time, when I beat a late model Trans Am on the street. In 1981, I sold it for $300 more than I paid for it. I got into the original, number matching deal, ironically, because I was cheap. I've been a bit of an oddity most of my life. Still have the wife, but the car has been off the radar since 1990.

What does numbers matching even mean? I know of 2 high $ cars that have sold several times in the last few years with a matching number block. Only thing, both cars engines were destroyed beyond repair back in the 80’s. What does a matching number on a block actually mean? The internals are all factory spec? Please. The important numbers that should match are the rad support and body stamps. But at this point even they can be suspect. Other than the T/A 340 block, all the other engines have the same block HP or standard. GM guys don’t have the luxury of a letter in their VIN that denotes what engine the car originally came with until 1972, when the classic muscle cars era was over. Nothing on their body tag either.

Mopar had a portion of the VIN stamped on the block above the passenger side pan rail starting in 1969. Cars with a matching numbers block command higher prices so there’s an increased risk of fraud or misrepresentation.
