Door hinge pins w/bushings replacement

I have some sag in my 69 charger’s driver door so I got the hinge repair kit and decided to dive into it today.
Took the door off and thought I would punch the pins out. - batta bing batta boom but they’re not budging. I used to swap doors and hinge pins on Chevys when I was a kid and I don’t recall it being nearly as difficult.
Before I wreck something, is there a certain procedure I should be following here?

I take the hinge off the car and press them out. Some of those kits are junk. I bought the pins, bushings, drill bit, and reamer from Resto Rick. Quality stuff.

So beating the hell out of them while still attached to the car is probably not a great idea, eh?

I've done that before on a pickup and it did tweak the metal where the hinge attaches. See if someone didn't put the wrong pins on with c clips.

Yeah I took the hinges right off. Wasn’t so bad. The bottom pin was definitely a replacement and had neither clips nor bushings. The top appears to be original or at least correct. They pounded out with a hammer and punch not too bad.

The pins are changed, door back on, adjusted the striker and it closes quite nicely now. Thanks for everyone’s input.
