I raced there back in the late 60's early 70's....a 62 Dodge Wagon 383 tunnel ram car....and a 66 Coronet 440 4 speed (ex hemi car). was lots of fun and made the damn winter go a lot faster...

I did some sled/snow mobile racing in Anchorage
with some USAF & Army base buddies, back in mid 80's...
That was fun, never took out the dragcars...

If they had a ice drags I may have , I don't know...

Hell my cars don't even see the rain/wet roads here
let alone any ice or snow

I notice when the track starts to go away, there's standing water. That looks even riskier than the solid ice.

One of their videos showed a pickup with a snowblade on the front and also a tractor with a rotating brush.

Spiked tires look nasty!
