Can anyone help me w/ the length of the drive shaft in a 1970 road runner w/ 8.75 rear diff?

Auto, and everything is is the stock position. Does trans style differ in length?

it was tough to do with the shaft still in the car
my 70 convertible is a 440 ,727 , 8 3/4 . Drive shaft is 52 inches from the front of the front ujoint cap to rear of the rear ujoint cap. Hope that helps we may be off a few 8ths ?

Trans doen't matter, shaft is 53" end to end. Do you need one?

I measured from c/l of the front u-joint cap to the c/l of the rear u-joint cap and came up w/ 51.5" w/ the yoke pulled back 1" after pushing it all the way in the tailshaft of the trans. Does this mean that a 51" shaft would work?
