Great bassists! and killer blues band!
Didn't see that one coming. RIP Dusty. https://nypost.com/2021/07/28/dusty-hill-zz-top-bassist-dead-at-72/
Saw them live in the early 80's. Hell of a good show. They were a hot band when I was in high school. RIP Dusty
We've seen them 9 times. Our daughter's first concert was ZZ Top. Dusty, thanks for the music and memories. RIP
Started listening to ZZ Top back in high school, early 70's One hell of a group R.I.P Dusty Hill
This is a real bummer. I first saw them in 1980 - I still have the concert shirt - the DEGUELLO tour. Saw them most recently at the WI State Fair about 10 years ago, so my wife and daughter got to see them, too. Daughter became a real fan, too. We would have liked to have seen them again. One of the all time greatest bands. Billy and Frank won't be the same without Dusty. R.I.P. to a true talented showman.
I saw them relatively late, for the Eliminator tour. Great show, great band, great tunes.
Still have a drum stick I got in the early 70's when they were a group of nobodies'. They were playing at a drive-in. Sad to hear. R.I.P.
This really sucks. Brings me down. we’ve been trying to see them for the last 2.5 years. We had tickets pre COVID to see them in Vegas, but the tour was cancelled when Frank Beard came down with pneumonia.
Love ZZTop! Another great one lost! Sad day! To Dusty!
You know that sound at the beginning....
I wore that album out!
Great documentary for those who haven't seen it yet. https://www.netflix.com/title/81212488 I think I caught it on a cable channel a few times, too.
Was looking forward to seeing ZZ Top for my first time here in NC, in November, I guess that ain't happening. Rest in peace brother.
For anyone who gets the RLZ channel, it's going to be on tomorrow (Wed) night at 7pm and 11pm Central time.
RIP Dusty sharp dressed man
