I've owned an Eaton True Trac without issue but now that I may want another I went to Dr. Diff's site and he states seeing problems with them and sells a unit of his own.
8 3/4" Helical Gear Sure-Grip ("Sure-Trac II") Dr. Diff's unit
OR Eaton Detroit Truetrac Posi - 913A572 - 8.75" 8-3/4" Chrysler Mopar 30 Spline

Any real life experiences out there??
Thank in Advance
Ron

Eaton True Trac
Mine was noisy at slow speed turns. Found many You Tube videos with the same complaint.
Fix was changing out lube from 75/90 to 140. Worked for me. Mine was new about 15 years ago. Maybe now they have improved.
If I was buying new I'd go with Dr Diff. My 2 cents.

I only have experience with Eaton. One in a Belvedere behind a 318 and the other in a GTX behind a 440. Never an issue with either of them, no noise, no whine, just two nice strips of rubber when I mash the go pedal. 9 years on the GTX and 11 years on the Belvedere.

Tru-Trac replaced my worn factory Sure-Grip maybe 8-10 years ago - many hard street miles, many burnouts, lays two solid strips and chirps without trying pulling out in a slow turn, no noise. I`m 100%happy with it.

I appreciate every reply so far but again not one person has any real world experience with a Dr. Diff unit. I know he's a good vendor but still would like to know if anyone bought his product and how is it?

Have you spoken to Dr. Diff about them or made the choice on your own?

I have a Dr Diff unit but haven't installed it yet. It looks like a nice unit, but has no markings/stampings on it
