Has anyone been able to use the 9266 carb. gasket on a 383 stock (666) intake and a Carter 9
series carb ? This is a spread bore carb and the 9266 states it's for 4 bore square carbs. They don't seem to offer any other divided gasket for spread bore design.
Also, I read at the edelbrock site that dual plane manifolds should always use divided gaskets to maintain the design elements of the dual plane. I just rebuilt my carb and the old gasket was an open design. Is it common to do this and how much difference in performance does it make?
