I've used them - been a few years. You get a copy of the IBM card and a sheet decoding it. Only complaint is that they mis-read the exterior paint color code.

I got mine a couple of months ago. They do NOT decode cards anymore. They say they don't have the resources. Good news is, I got my IBM card and they sent my check back.

I was able to find a 66-67 Charger guy they decided and made me two reproduction IBM cards for something like $50.

Tried in November and they said they were doing inventory, etc and they sent checks back.
called in January and they were ready to roll. I sent in 2 Cars and both came back in about 10 days!
A Hemi guru friend said that Fiat's new Copies are much better than the former Microfiche and the best copy he has ever seen from "Chrysler"

Did they decode or just give copies?

What kind of information about the car is on the IBM card? Is it car options, selling dealer?
I'm assuming they are the old key punch cards, but unless someone can decode the punches
then a copy of the card would seem to be useless.

I had my Satellite done in January of 2017 by Chrysler Historical, and I had my IBM card decoded and reproduced by Fastback Jon - the '66-'67 Charger guy. I just received them in the mail from him yesterday. Very nicely done. I haven't had a good chance to really study them yet - just a quick look. I believe the punch card gives you info the fender tag won't provide, but not as much as the build sheet.

By the way, Chrysler Historical never cashed the check for either my Satellite in 2017 or my Belvedere that they did in 2009. I know other guys who have never had a check cashed by them, as well. I don't know why, but I'm not complaining. I have also heard that they can make a mistake with what they send you back, although I don't think they did with either of my cars.

Better pics of the copied card and their breakdown sheet.

I found a card, taped over the glove box, on a 1964 Dodge that I once owned. It had all kinds of signatures on it from the line workers and inspectors.

Jon makes excellent buildcards, high quality on correct card stock. Years ago I actually shared a few examples of cards with him, some dealer info, and other notes/observations and he sent me 2 updated cards no charge.
The build card is more accurate and complete, my understanding is it was used to make the fender tag and buildsheet. For example, my fender tag has a scheduled shipping date, which is also on the buildcard, but the buildcard also has the actual shipping date which was earlier, it appears on the one above it shipped on the exact date it was scheduled.
They are easy to decode, all the punches represent the last digit of the 3 digit code. If there is more than 1 option for that section there will be more than 1 punch. It looks like the above card has 421, 428, and 429. Also, depending on the year, any letters will be represented by a punched number and a punched letter, or 2 punched numbers like the one above, UU1 is represented by 4 and 0 in 26_ and 27_.
Later years have a couple rows of letters above the zeros so there would be punches in odd places on those.
The 3 digit codes correspond to where and if it ends up on the fender tag and buildsheet.
I went overboard with this stuff a few years ago, created buildcards, buildsheets, fender tags, and an easy way to decode all in Excel.

I have an interesting error with my Satellite stuff. The punch card shows the color of the car as WW1 white. But the fender tag, window sticker, and certicard all have the color as LL1 turquoise. On the window sticker, someone attempted to erase the LL1 and hand wrote WW1 over it. There's no question that the car has always been white. My theory is a mistake was made on the fender tag, window sticker, or Certicard, and the other 2 were copied from the first mistake. Anyone know which came first? I'm guessing the fender tag came first followed by the other 2.

Factory line setting error. That's all. As simple as a key punch error.

How were you able to contact them? I just bought a 1964 Plymouth Belvedere 426 4-speed Street Wedge and I’d like to get the IBM card for it.

What I understand they want some money for this service, since I live in Sweden it might be a problem paying the fee.
Anyone knows which payment methods you can use?

When I mailed my application in for the copy of the IBM build card back in April 2018. I did not include any money.
I attached a note to the application saying that "I understand since you no longer offer the decoding service that I understand there will be no charge for the copy of the build card for my car".
I received a personal letter to me and a copy of the IBM build card about 4 weeks later.
Decoding them yourself is not too hard if you know where to look on the internet.
