Fender tag decode

Hi guys, I’ve messed with the online decoders with some luck. Figured I’d post this for those that know what most of the codes mean. Thanks

I know the basics:

1967 satellite convertible
383 2bbl, Automatic
Red with white top and red interior.
ps,pb,ac.

Other than that, I have no idea.

Can you educate me how to read the fender tag? I have had very little luck with the decoder posted in another thread.

I use the Realdash.net decoder for 67-68 or for 69-74 for tags. You just have to make sure your letters & numbers are in the right spot. They don't always look like they line up right, but you can 'decode as you go' to make sure they are.

For your tag you provided:

chargersourceguide has a decent 66 tag breakdown, but it's Charger specific, meaning options that weren't available on a Charger are not shown.

Still very helpful, though.
