Good day all.
New member from Alberta, Canada here. I picked up a 1964 Plymouth Fury convertible at an estate sale. It sat in a semi heated quonset amongst a whole lot of other classic cars (Olds Toronados, Ford Country Squire Wagons, Lincoln and Cougar convertibles and a few Square body Chevy's) and hadn't run in about 5 or so years. The VIN number states it was originally a slant six car, but was converted to a 383 4 speed. I think it has been restored once judging by how clean and painted the engine bay is.
I changed the plugs, oil/oil filter, fuel filter, pumped out the old gas and put fresh stuff in and changed the coil. Will probably give the coolant system a flush and try and grease the speedometer cable as it did not work. All gears worked, most of the lights worked (one high beam out) and the convertible top works fine.
Interior needs a little TLC, but that is okay. Not sure how I feel about the pistol grip shifter, but might change it to a period correct cue ball style.
