My buddy Johns 64 ready for Detroit Autorama.Car is an absolute show piece. He's been working on it for a few years. I wired it, built trans, installed the ring and pinion, helped with norml stuff. Fired it up today. A couple of minor details to complete. Best Machine did the engine, 965hp. When it comes back from Autorama it'll get scaled, suspension squared up, and aligned.

I will have to look for this at Autorama and the tracks. Looks fantastic. N/SS Mopars look so good on the track.

Setting up at Detroit Autorama yesterday. Many of my friends cars were with a few cars of each other. The 65 is a real Hemi with only a outside repaint. The 2 64 Plymouths are Hemi N/SS cats. The Dodge is a street car clone. The Dart has 21 year old paint. Raced regularly. Mid 9's with a small block.

Very cool 64 Build

What a group of cars, just like Gunner1 said, magnificent. Some very Lucky men, enjoy…..

As it turned out John's 64 was moved out of the racecar class. He was told it had to much "detail" to be a real racecar. Won 1st plae and 2 other awards anyway. It'll be at Milan testing in April.

I haven't been to the autorama since i was a kid in the 80's... Nice to see the Jakes car there.. my store is about 2 miles from his old shop.

Doug, Who made his headders and what size are they ?
Ernie Miyamoto from Motofab inc. 2 1/8" - 2 1/4" stepped, 4" collector. It'll be interesting to see how it runs vs mine. His is 540" vs my 580". My headers are 2 1/8" with a 3 1/2" collector. Both have similar compression, cam, carbs, intake. He has 572-13 heads vs my -1's. His is an 8" converter, mine is 9 1/2". Both 4.10. 1 run 10.5x31. His is 10.5x29.5. His motor should keep making power past my 7000.
