A few weeks ago I had another pet scan and the one remaining cancer spot showed a little more activity. So I asked my oncologist if we could get the radiologist to kill it with photon therapy. Yes it's a thing, and they approved me for treatment. 3 visits 3 days in a row for a 15 minute treatment. Yeehaw die you fing cancer die.

It's nucular medicine.
You are correct it is proton therapy, common name is cyberknife. I had it done 2 years ago on the spot that was left on t4 vertebrae after surgery. It was successful, we made a decision to let the chemo kill the spot in my hip as it was secondary. It was working up till about 30 days ago so off to get shot in the butt cheek.
