The car that inspired me to want a Corvette was an orange 68 Corvette roadster 427 4 speed with side pipes. My friend's mother's boyfriend owned the car,and after getting a ride in the car, a third generation Corvette became a bucket list car for me. My friends friend's mother burned her leg pretty badly on the side pipe getting out of the car. She had scars from the ribs of the side pipe on her calf. He took the side pipes off and ran the exhaust out the back after that happened.

I rocked a somewhat ratty 68 rag with chrome header side pipes for a couple years...... I have no old pics of anything
