Grandson took his first solo dirt bike ride today. He is 3. My oldest grandson was riding without training wheels at this age, but he was at my place quite a bit more and also was a little speedster on his strider balance bike.

they're "almost" never too young to start
especially with adults watching & letting him learn

looks like he's having fun
safer with training wheels to boot :bananadance:

----------------------------------------------------------

my 1st experience was like 5 y/o on a Taco 22 Mini-bike
barely touch the ground
my older cousin Joe had it, he gotten too big, he was 6' at 12 y/o
he had taught me on it
& then he gave it to me, later gave me a go-cart too,
when he grew out of it too
(he ran along side, I was already past training wheels stage on my bike)
I had to help my stepdad, with a couple projects Joe had
sort of paying it back, I remember some of that stuff
I'm sure I didn't really help much, but was out there, trying....

that's a future gearhead in the makings
