My dad was fixing up his 64 Plymouth Fury for most of my life before he passed away fifteen years ago. Now that I have my own home and enough garage space, my mom has let me bring it out here to start working on.

It needs de-mousing and just a going through to figure out what all my dad was doing to it. Let this be a note to all of us to keep a notebook or something so the people who come behind us aren’t left playing detective!

Welcome aboard from NJ. That's a beautiful 64 & family heirloom , best of luck with it. Your Dad would be happy you have it.

Welcome from Alabama, nice looking 64.

Welcome from CT, and another ‘64 Fury owner.

Welcome from south NJ; Sweet 64, glad to see you're keeping dad's baby up & running. For advice & help, you came to the right place. Make sure you "smoke em" for your dad and mom & wear the tread out of them tires enjoying every mile with a smile.

Welcome from OHIO. Those are one of my favorites in the Mopar world, beautiful car!

Welcome from Minnesota. Good posting. Glad you're taking it on. Nice looking car! Dad will be pleased I'm sure.

Welcome from Michigan the Motor City! Nice Fury you have there, you're father is smiling knowing you have his car. 440'

Welcome from Missouri!! Very nice!!

Welcome – perhaps as you go through it you can let us more about it – motor, trans, etc. Seems your dad was very particular with making it how he wanted it: Side markers, right mirror, hood pins, fender mount turn signals (as they appear to be), scoop, wheels, etc. Send more photos of it when you can.

It has a 440, I am not positive on the transmission other then its an automatic and if I remember correctly from the last time we tried to get it running, its got a push button transmission jerry rigged into the floor shifter, it only starts in neutral. It had an electric fuel pump for a while but i think its back to a mechanical one now. Whatever setup the engine has, it has a very aggressive cam from the sounds it makes while it idles.

My personal project car is a 67 El Camino so I am just starting to figure out the mystery’s of mopar.
