Now that I've joined here I'll continue the story here, but I'm going to link to the beginnings on the 'C' site.
In 2007 I converted my Fury to OD with an a500, 2009 to EFI and in 2012 to twin turbos and I've been excited to do another.

I've owned my Coronet since I was 14, 1992. It had a 360 in it when I bought it, then a 383, then another 383, then a 440, then that 383 again, then a 'real' 440 with ported heads and a solid .590. Then it blew up and we had kids and it's been sitting. Needs re-restored but I'm working on the driveline first. I've wanted to mess with a 5.7 and do another turbo, so that's what I'm doing.

T6 turbos really are sizable. Old dump truck or something. It appears to be a 76mm with a 1.23 AR T6 hotside. An old TVxxxx series turbo. Not the best set up for a small gas engine, but definitely good enough for mocking up.

Cruddy hemi now meets high school restoration Coronet. Had to grind on the conversion mounts (need a little more yet)
I was surprised the alt fit with the car FEAD, I didn't think they usually do, but it's going to be in the way of turbo plumbing. Figured I'd need a truck. FEAD from the start.

Been trying to figure out how to get a T6 framed turbo to best fit. They are big and the 5" downpipe trunk ain't no joke to snake around. I think the best bet is going to be a 45* placement, putting the turbo partway into the wheel well (~3" or so), and running the downpipe out there too. Not sure about whether to punch it back inside the well or cut and box the frame and floor to gain clearance to run it outside then in.

I run pizza cutters up front so that helps, quite a bit of room up there. Air 2 air intercooler routing could be a challenge but might be able to run a a water to air on the dr's side. The piece of wood was 4" pipe, the white and blue cardboard tubes are 5". Very sophisticated.

When a T6 is going to require more work than you want - buy a next gen T4 that should be worth 100hp more than I plan to use.

Next step when I'm back in the shop in a few weeks is to replace the car FEAD with a late model truck one (with the electric PS). I need the alt up out of the way of the exhaust.

So I spent many hours futzing. If you want to do one of these builds that is custom, not a kit, prepare for hours of studying and thinking about what if, what other parts might help things fit better, etc. Skipping to the chase, here's my table of results:

I was really interested in the underslung downpipe to keep temps down and not cut the fenderwell. It can work, but causes other issues per the chart. I almost forgot that I need an oil filter installed! I tried all sorts of things, but I think I like the last option the best.

Then it was back to low slung to try to move it back further so that I could get an elbow on the air inlet to not suck hot radiator air

Finally raised up and longitudinal to get the air inlet not crossing over the car

pointing down might actually be best, air to air IC piping under a cone filter for inlet

Somehow when I bought it in 1992 it wasn't rotted out. Fenders and doors are super clean, it does need quarters, they are bubbling low again after 25yrs

Well, I got the hard part of the project done, the vanity plates finally came! (Had to go with my second spelling choice)

I want to force feed my 70 roadrunner. A centrifugal Super charger looks easy enough but dang it's expensive. I'm going to run a low deck block.... I got off track GREAT BUILD

Worked it out with a friend that it's going to detour thru the body shop before running, poor thing is a little crusty in some areas even though it's been inside the last 28yrs

SC should be easier yes, but you write the check up front. I am still keeping my eyes out for a hellcat transplant (who wouldn't!?!)

Have you seen anyone turbo a low deck big block in a b-

body. I know absolutely nothing about turbo or super chargers. I hate to try and run turbo and not be able to get it plumbed
